The government has made a appeal to inventors to develop anti-terrorist gadgets.  Real life versions of Q in the 007 James Bond films are being offered funding to develop technology to help fight terrorists groups like al-Qaeda.  Ideas have already come to light including rocket propelled net to stop speedboats and a barrier to block suicide trucks.  The Home office have predicted that terrorists will use modern technology not just to plan and carry out attacks but also to spread propaganda and hire new recruits.  As such it’s key for the government to keep up with new technology and use it at a faster pace then the terrorists to fight attacks.
